Grauji widened his eyes and inserted his fingers between Riche’s fingers. Then he made her hold the handle with her disgusted hand and moved the pacifier. Slurp. The sound of saliva when his tongue licked the pacifier tickled her ears. Riche frowned. His shiny eyes behind his gold-rimmed glasses were staring at her.

Looking into his eyes made Riche feel strange. It was as if he was sucking on her nipple instead of a pacifier, and her chest tensed up.

Smack, smack.

When she tried to pull her hand away again, Grauji’s grip tightened. At this point, she couldn’t possibly miss his intentions. Riche couldn’t hide her displeased expression, but he didn’t care and continued to suck on the pacifier.

Riche recited complex sentences from dimensional theory like a mantra, trying to ignore Grauji’s gaze and the strange smacking sound. The old fox, a hundred years in the making, quickly noticed that she wasn’t concentrating. Lick. A soft tongue licked the middle joint of her middle finger. Lost in thought, Riche startled and looked at Grauji again. He raised the corner of his lips.

“That’s too much. Giving me something like this. You have to watch me suck on it for me to get excited, don’t you think?”

It made sense in its own way, or rather, it felt like he would demand her nipples if she didn’t even watch this. Riche cleared her mind and looked at Grauji. He was satisfied and sucked on the pacifier diligently.

Perhaps because of the weight of the years he had lived, Grauji was adept at teasing. The title of playboy prince was not wasted on him. He was only sucking on a pacifier, but it felt like watching a very explicit video.

Grauji didn’t touch any part of Riche except for her hand, but by the time they left the Magic Tower, Riche’s face was flushed and she was panting. She decided never to mess with Grauji again.

Riche entered a beautifully decorated single-story mansion. Unlike Cairos’s villa, the luxurious mansion smelled of roses as soon as she stepped inside. It was the most preferred scent for guests, and it could be smelled as soon as one entered the Queen. That’s why many guests referred to the Queen as a rose garden.

This place was a temporary location used by the boss in place of the burned-down shop. He bought the mansion that the owner put up for sale at a bargain price, and the boss was disappointed that the location was remote, but it didn’t really matter. This was not a place where he intended to do business in earnest.

The Queen had more niche customers than expected, so the boss, after much deliberation at their request, decided to operate temporarily, but only admitted regulars and did not accept new customers.

The employees’ work was voluntary. Employees who were frequently requested tended to come to work often, but those who were not took long vacations, traveled, or helped with the operation by doing odd jobs at temporary stores to earn living expenses.

Some employees left completely, having decided to start their own businesses now that they had saved up seed money and the Queen was in this state. They said they would start businesses where they could use their specialties, such as breweries or clothing shops. Some left to live with customers they had fallen in love with.

Riche was neither here nor there. Cairos had taken her in, but she hadn’t completely quit the Queen.

Occasionally, when the busy Cairos went to work and she got bored being alone in the villa, she would often visit, but it was only to hang out, and she didn’t even pour a glass of wine for the customers.

Even though Riche didn’t lift a finger to help with the store’s work, the boss and employees didn’t point it out. It was quiet anyway since only regulars came, and the atmosphere wasn’t very good even though they were operating temporarily, so Riche’s blunt words, though not affectionate, were welcome because she was indifferent to everything. Of course, Riche had no intention of entertaining them, but the employees liked her visits. The boss felt the same way.

“Riche.”

The boss, who had heard the small notification bell and looked up, called out happily.

“It’s been a while.”

“I had some things to do.”

The boss poured her wine with a light alcohol content like grape juice and examined her face from every angle.

“Work? Did you find a new job?”

Riche shook her head at the face that was tense and probing.

“That’s not it. If I wanted to work, I would have come to the Queen.”

The boss, somewhat relieved by her indifferent reply, relaxed her face.

“Where on earth are you living? Your complexion doesn’t look bad, though. I thought you were starving.”

Riche smiled ambiguously at the curious tone. She had no intention of saying that she was living in Cairos’s mansion.

“Boss, oh, Riche is here.”

Elza, who had been yawning as she came out of the room because it was a bit early for the store’s business hours, discovered Riche and scurried over.

“What were you talking about?”

“About where Riche is living.”

“Ah, that’s right. I was curious about that too.”

Elza turned to Riche.

“You probably don’t have enough money saved up to be independent, so what are you doing?”

“I’m just living, you know.”

The boss and Elza looked curious, as if they were not satisfied with the vague answer. Riche, who had no intention of answering whatever they asked, looked around the store and changed the subject.

“Where’s Mikhail?”

“He’s on a date.”

“With whom?”

Elza snorted as Riche’s eyes sparkled.

“Who else? It’s Duchess Janice Borchin.”

“Ah.”

Riche quickly became indifferent. She momentarily thought of Idelli. She was curious about what had happened to Mikhail and her relationship.

‘Is it completely over?’

This was close to her personal curiosity. She was interested in what kind of ending omega’s love would have. Considering their situation and tendencies, it might have ended as a one-time encounter, but they might still be meeting unexpectedly. Of course, the latter would be more interesting.

“The reason I came to the store today is because I have something to ask.”

“What is it?”

“Could you find me someone? The boss knows more people than I do.”

The boss looked bewildered, as if it was an unexpected request.

“I know a lot of people, but what for?”

“I’m currently under a certain wizard.”

“Wizard?”

Elza and the boss shouted before she could even finish speaking. Their eyes widened as if the word wizard was surprising. Riche roughly explained the situation with Grauji, mixing in some lies, to the two people who were making a fuss about whether they had a close wizard, and got to the point.

“So I need someone who is tight-lipped, needs a lot of money, and is desperate for this job.”

“So the most important thing is someone who doesn’t blab secrets?”

“Yes. Security is vital.”

Riche was looking for a clinical trial subject. The subject wouldn’t know exactly what they were being used for, but they would probably be suspicious, so they had to be tight-lipped. Riche believed that the fewer people who knew about the dimensional transfer while she was here, the better.

“It’s not dangerous, is it?”

The boss asked cautiously, as if the explanation was insufficient. Being a wizard’s test subject, it was natural for ordinary people to feel uneasy. Riche hesitated for a moment before replying.

“It’s dangerous.”

“……”

“That’s why I need someone who is desperate for money. If they happen to lose their life during the experiment, I will of course compensate them. So it would be good to have a poor person with a family member suffering from a serious illness. It would be even better if they were deeply filial.”

That way, they wouldn’t blab for the sake of their family.

Elza and the boss stared at Riche, who was speaking calmly, with astonished eyes as if they were looking at a ghost.

“Why are you doing that?”

When Riche asked, bewildered, the boss wiped away sweat with a handkerchief.

“No, it’s just that you’re saying something so outrageous so casually.”

“A wizard, how did you get caught up in something like that?”

Elza asked timidly, looking disgusted. Riche shrugged, feeling their reaction even more awkward, as if it was something she had done countless times in her original dimension.

“You can find them if you search the back streets, but it will take time to meet all those conditions. But it will cost a lot of money.”

“I don’t care how much money it costs, so please hurry as much as possible.”

At that, the boss looked at her with new eyes. He knew better than anyone else how poor Riche was, since he had provided her with room and board. Of course, Riche’s financial situation was still poor. What she believed in was the magic tower’s inexhaustible vault. Grauji would be dumbfounded if he heard it, but at least Riche was confident. Grauji had sworn to do his best to achieve the success of the magic, and it was natural that this kind of thing was included in that best. Riche, who was unknowingly raising the corners of her lips slightly, came to her senses at Elza’s exclamation.

“Ah! I almost forgot.”

“……”

“Riche. Do you have some time? You have a visitor.”

“Me?”

The person Riche thought of at that moment was Cairos. It had been a little over a year since she started working, and it took time to read, write, and speak Dobrak, so the number of people who actually dealt with customers was small. But if it was Cairos, he could just go to the mansion without having to come here.

“He’s been waiting since yesterday. He said he would wait until you came, even if you’re not working now.”

Then it suddenly occurred to her. The words that he would come to see her where she worked someday.

‘Could it be Laska?’

Riche, who couldn’t get any more explanation from Elza, tilted her head as she headed for the reception room prepared for guests. The puzzlement only amplified because the boss and Elza said they couldn’t tell her who it was.

‘Judging from the fact that they’re playing this kind of prank, there’s a high possibility that it’s Laska.’

It couldn’t be Grauji, could it? It didn’t seem likely since he was someone she had been talking to face to face until the morning.

Riche was still wondering until the moment she opened the reception room door.

However, when Riche opened the reception room door, she realized that all the candidates she had thought of were wrong.

He was sitting on the bed like a statue. He had been there since yesterday, but he didn’t even look like he had slept, as if he had been awake the whole time.

“Riche.”

Riche, who glanced at the neat bed sheets without any signs of being rumpled, shifted her gaze following the voice.

A head full of lush, curly hair that had sunk deeply. The intense red always attracted attention, but today it was a dark crimson, as if it had absorbed the darkness. He was wearing a fitted dark brown frock coat. There was a black pattern on the collar, which was as flashy as his clothes usually were, but it didn’t feel like his usual lively energy. The black shirt he wore inside the coat was a perfect match for the gloom that lingered around the man. The overall heavy attire was perfect for maintaining the dignity of a nobleman, but even so, he couldn’t hide the anxiety that was ingrained in his body.

Riche unconsciously took a long breath. The humid and fishy smell of the sea, which she remembered, wafted over her.

She never thought it would be this man.

Riche felt troubled. He was someone she had put aside in her mind, thinking that she would rarely meet him again. He was an unwelcome guest.

Riche, who had been somewhat dazed by the unexpected situation, flinched as he got up from the bed. The shadow of the man, who was at least a head taller than her, came up to her feet.

He was like a red monster consumed by depression. His sleek, handsome appearance was no different from before, but the shadows cast on his face, his gloomy expression, and, most importantly, the way he looked at her made her feel like she was falling into an endless abyss.

Riche, who suddenly came to her senses, took a step back and flinched again. Then the man looked surprised and hurt. Riche, who had been hesitating at the gaze that seemed to be reproaching her, suddenly became puzzled.

Why is this man acting like this? She uttered his name, which felt somewhat awkward.

“Raymond.”

“……”

“What brings you here, all of a sudden?”

The moment she made a sound, the silence that had filled the room like mucus was broken. It became easier to breathe. On the other hand, she got goosebumps.

Raymond had come here. What if Cairos had come to hang out with her? Of course, that would never happen, but it wasn’t impossible for Cairos to stop by here.
