She was driven to the point of collapse, and when she opened her eyes, she was in Jaeyeon’s arms again. He faithfully carried out his promise to fill her until she overflowed with his seed. When Yeohee called his name, his thrusts would slow, but the act never stopped. Repeatedly embraced and embraced again, the act continued long after dawn had broken.

Yeohee blinked slowly. When Jaeyeon’s member, which had been lodged in her vagina, slipped out with a thuk , a white mass flowed from the opening. She felt it wetting her perineum, but she didn’t even have the strength to wipe it away. Jaeyeon stroked her hair and pressed his lips to her forehead.

“Rest. I’ll clean you up down there.”

Too weak to even nod, Yeohee simply closed her eyes. Noisy sounds came from outside, but the voices faded like tinnitus in her sinking mind.

As Yeohee slumped into a deep sleep, Jaeyeon rose. He covered Yeohee with the silk blanket and picked up the torn wedding dress from the floor. What a vigorous morning for her. The angry voice of the old woman could be heard from outside.

Thud.

He opened the door to see Yang, the guard, and Head Butler Go blocking his grandmother. He gave them a look to step aside, and the old woman strode up to Jaeyeon. From the open inner chamber wafted an embarrassingly strong scent of sex and a stuffy heat.

The old woman clenched her fists at the sight of the traces behind her grandson. A slender foot protruded from the bed. The torn wedding dress on the floor was the one she had ordered a servant to bring to Yeohee yesterday.

“How, how could you… You embraced that girl in here?”

The old woman’s face was flushed red, as if it would explode at any moment.

“Yes. What is wrong with that?”

Unlike the agitated old woman, Jaeyeon’s voice was calm.

“That child was promised in marriage to Lord Seo’s son.”

“That marriage was broken off as of yesterday, so there is nothing for you to worry about.”

When the old woman’s voice rose, Jaeyeon stepped out the door. Closing the door behind him, he instructed Head Butler Go.

“Bring warm water and something light to eat.”

Head Butler Go immediately retreated, saying he would prepare it. Jaeyeon looked down at his grandmother, who was staring at him with a dumbfounded expression.

“Take her as a concubine. I will concede that much.”

“A concubine for such a precious woman? That is out of the question. Besides, I don’t think you understand, Grandmother, but I can only have Yeohee’s children.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Unfortunately.”

Jaeyeon approached the frowning old woman and lowered his head over her shoulder. Then, he lowered his voice so that only his grandmother could hear.

“It means my cock won’t get hard for any other woman.”

The old woman recoiled at the vulgar words. Jaeyeon raised his head and smiled coldly.

“So, call off the marriage with the Hong family on your own. And leave the capital immediately and go down to Sanhyang.”

With that final warning, Jaeyeon took the basin that Head Butler Go brought and went back into the room. He placed the basin on the side table, wet a towel, and approached Yeohee.

He wiped Yeohee’s center, which was covered in his traces, with the towel. As he separated the labia, which were folded like flower petals, with his bent fingers and scraped away the accumulated seed, Yeohee let out a faint moan, even in her exhausted sleep, as if she was stimulated.

After wiping Yeohee’s sweat-soaked body, Jaeyeon threw the clothes scattered haphazardly on the bed onto the floor. He couldn’t possibly like the wedding dress that his grandmother had brought.

If he had known it would be like this, he would have married his sister sooner.

He had been mistaken in thinking that sending his grandmother to Sanhyang would prevent her from interfering with him. He placed Yeohee’s body on his chest and covered them with a blanket.

“It’s all because of you that I’m in this position.”

Jaeyeon brushed the hair that had fallen over Yeohee’s forehead. If it weren’t for her, Jaeyeon might have gone crazy long ago. Or, he might have had a seizure like his half-brother, who was recuperating in the countryside.

For Jaeyeon, Yeohee was the only person he could rely on, and the reason he lived. He started learning swordsmanship solely to protect her, and he took the position of head of the family to protect her from his father’s concubine and grandmother, who were displeased with him and Yeohee.

If Yeohee had protected him when he was young, he would protect her from now on.

Therefore…

“You must stay by my side for the rest of your life.”

Jaeyeon pressed his lips to the crown of Yeohee’s head. Just as she was the only woman for Jaeyeon, he had to be the only man for Yeohee.

Clang!

The teacup on the table crashed to the floor.

The Lady Dowager’s heavy, furious breathing filled the room. That wretched girl Yeohee must have whispered some nonsense into Jaeyeon’s ear. Otherwise, how could he have dared to say such outrageous things?

The crude words of her grandson churned furiously in her mind, making her cheeks twitch uncontrollably.

“Hmph. A man’s thing doesn’t rise for just one particular woman,” she spat.

If she didn’t act now, she would be dragged back to Sanhyang again. After Jaeyeon had become the head of the family, it hadn’t even taken a year before he expelled her from the main estate. On the surface, it was framed as sending his elderly grandmother to a peaceful retirement, but the truth was obvious.

In reality, Sanhyang was little more than a remote exile.

The air might have been clean, but that only meant it was a countryside surrounded by mountains and fields. The secondary estate there was laughably small compared to the grand Jang mansion in the capital. The number of servants was barely a tenth of what she had been used to, and the allowance for maintenance was pitiful. There was nowhere proper to buy silks or jewelry.

To someone who had lived their entire life amid the bustle and prestige of the capital, Sanhyang was no different from a prison. Many times she sent letters asking to return, but Jaeyeon always sent back the same reply: Do not come.

Even when she sold off her jewelry for travel expenses and made the arduous trip back to the capital, she barely lasted a few days before being driven out once again.

If the head of the family wouldn’t listen to her, then she would coax a new mistress into the house—one who would obey her instead.
And fortune had smiled on her: the opportunity came when Jaeyeon left for the western front.

The Lady Dowager immediately set off from Sanhyang for the capital once Jaeyeon departed.
With the master gone, there was no one who could defy the senior matron of the house.

Shortly after returning, she seized the storeroom keys from Steward Go and began searching for a suitable bride for her grandson.
And she had been lucky: news reached her that the Hong family’s daughter, Hong Juhwa, was seeking a marriage into the Jang family.

Hong Juhwa had reportedly fallen for Jaeyeon at first sight during the recent Lantern Festival.
He had rescued her from a group of thugs who had surrounded her in the crowd.

The Lady Dowager, though skeptical that her indifferent grandson would care for any woman besides Yeohee, thought it was better to marry him to a girl he had at least met once than to a complete stranger.

But first, she had to get rid of Yeohee.

After meeting Juhwa a few times, the Lady Dowager agreed: she would bring Juhwa in as the future mistress—on the condition that Jaeyeon allowed her to return to the capital.

At the same time, she secretly arranged Yeohee’s marriage to the second son of Lord Seomun.

Even for the head of a noble house, it would be scandalous to covet a married woman.
To sever Yeohee completely from Jaeyeon, she had to marry her off—preferably as soon as possible.

That’s why she had ignored Yeohee’s requests to simply return to her hometown.
If only the marriage had proceeded a little faster… but now, just a few days before the wedding, Jaeyeon had ruined everything.

The Lady Dowager sprang to her feet and threw open a chest on the desk.
Rummaging through its contents, her hand closed around a small glass vial.

“My lady, that’s—”

The maid who had been watching from behind spoke up anxiously.

“I once worried that Jaeyeon might prefer boys after how violently he threw aside women we sent to him…” the Lady Dowager muttered, calming herself with effort.

She set the vial down on the table.

“But if I drive him mad, he won’t know whether the woman in his arms is Yeohee or Juhwa.”

“But… isn’t it dangerous, my lady? If the master finds out you used that on him—”

“He’s going to exile me back to Sanhyang anyway. So why not take one last gamble?”

The Lady Dowager lightly tapped the vial’s lid with her finger, the liquid inside swirling ominously.

Ignoring the maid’s deeply worried expression, she spoke coldly:

“Bring Juhwa to me. We’ll need her help.”

The breeze stirred Yeohee’s hair as she stirred awake. The tickling sensation on her cheek made her open her eyes. She must have fallen asleep without realizing it, after eating lunch and closing her eyes for just a moment.

“Ah…”

When she moved slightly, a dull ache radiated from her lower back. Her legs still felt sore, but not to the point where moving was unbearable like the day before.

Pushing aside the blanket, Yeohee glanced down and caught sight of the faint red marks visible through the parted folds of her sleeping robe. She bit her lower lip tightly.

The traces of their long, intense coupling were still left all over her body.

Thanks to Jaeyeon, who had cleaned her carefully while she slept, her skin didn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable. Getting down from the bed, Yeohee instinctively pressed her hand against her abdomen, feeling a strange fullness inside—as if Jaeyeon’s presence still lingered within her.

“It still… hurts…”

She was wearing nothing but a sheer, translucent sleeping robe. Wherever the delicate fabric brushed her skin, it stung faintly. Gently lifting the front hem, she peeked underneath.

Her tender, swollen breasts were still marked by faint reddish traces. The memory of Jaeyeon, roughly thrusting while greedily suckling her like a child, made a pulse of heat shoot through her lower belly.

[Yeohee.]

The sound of her name, spoken in Jaeyeon’s thick, hoarse voice, suddenly echoed in her ears.
Her cheeks flushed crimson as her pulse raced wildly.

Fanning herself with a hand, Yeohee walked to the window. The cool spring breeze blowing in helped soothe her fevered nape.

She knew—Jaeyeon was no longer the child who had once needed her protection.

Each time he returned from the battlefield under imperial orders, he had grown noticeably. The boy who had once been smaller than her now towered over her and carried an air of confident maturity.

After his coming-of-age ceremony and accumulating victories in war, many noble families sought him eagerly as a match for their daughters. Matchmakers visited, and prestigious officials personally tried to arrange marriages with him.

Yeohee’s family had once been a renowned noble house too, but now, only the name remained. Compared to the elegant daughters of the capital’s powerful families, she was no match.

Those women in the portraits were stunningly beautiful, and their family backgrounds impeccable—perfect as the future Lady of the Jang family, the most powerful clan in Hyeonho.

And so, Yeohee had tried to bury her growing feelings.

The innocent affection she once felt as siblings had, as Jaeyeon became a man, shifted into something deeper. His stunning looks, combined with the way he was always tender to her alone, made her heart flutter uncontrollably.

The first time she realized she saw him not as a little brother but as a man, she had been terribly flustered. And yet, every time he smiled sweetly at her and called her “Sister Yeohee,” while being cold and indifferent to others, it stirred her foolish hopes.

Still, she told herself she had no right to covet his side. The noble who had taken her in would have expected better from her. So after Jaeyeon became head of the family, Yeohee did her best to maintain a proper distance.

She called him “My Lord” like everyone else and served him dutifully. It was enough, she thought, just to stay close to him, even in that way.

Yet somehow… things had come to this.

She had felt something subtly different when he returned from war this time. But she never imagined he would actually embrace her.

Especially not when he was in the midst of marriage talks with Hong Juhwa. And she herself had been about to marry another man…

Clatter.

The door opened, and Yeohee turned her head. Jaeyeon stood at the threshold, silently staring at her.
