You Were My Sl*ve - Chapter 95
“Is something wrong? Did you receive the wrong letter?”
“…No. It’s the letter I’ve been waiting for.”
At Miriam’s question, Elona smiled brightly. Slowly, she began to read Sir Zerox’s letter.
[Your Highness,
I hope you are well. I, too, am in good health.
I have not returned to Parsion but have remained in Ashatra’s borderlands to receive treatment. I had thought the desert had little to offer, but to my surprise, this country’s medicinal practices are far more advanced than those of Parsion. Perhaps it’s because of their frequent long journeys.
In any case, I have found medicine here that may cure my long-standing illness. It will take time for a full recovery, but at least I no longer have to fear for my life. It turns out this land is not a place of death, but rather a land of life.
I also heard that you and Kazan have had a son. I always knew this day would come. If the boy ever takes an interest in swordsmanship, allow me to meet him. If he takes after his father, I’m sure he has a natural talent for it.
Once I am well, I will see you in Ferma. I will write to you again soon.
Wishing you happiness,
Kendrick Zerox]
As Elona finished reading, her heart swelled with anticipation for the future. One day, she would meet Sir Zerox again, when he was fully healed. And this time, Ashad would be with her.
Just as she carefully placed the letter away with a joyful expression, Miriam spoke up.
“Elona, don’t overwork yourself today. You should rest early—it’s an important day tomorrow.”
“Yes, I’ll just read a little more before heading to bed.”
Miriam smiled warmly at Elona, who was deeply immersed in matters of her homeland. Just as she was about to leave, something occurred to her, and she turned back.
“Come to think of it, starting tomorrow, I’ll finally be able to call you ‘Your Majesty’.”
Elona paused at those words, lifting her head. What Miriam had once spoken of as a distant possibility had now become reality. The only woman of King Sindar, Elona de Parsion, was about to become the Queen of Ashatra.
Tomorrow, she would be wed.
“Thank you, Miriam. Because of you, I…”
“Oh no, don’t cry! If your eyes swell, it’ll be a disaster!”
At the mention of her past struggles, Elona’s eyes shimmered with emotion.
Miriam, startled, quickly waved her hands in a playful attempt to comfort her. Now elevated to Chief Court Administrator, Miriam stood proudly and declared,
“Now, no more tears! Look forward to it with joy. Tomorrow’s wedding will be magnificent, beautiful, and full of happiness. It will be a day remembered in history!”
Elona finally smiled again.
After ensuring she was all right, Miriam left the room.
Now alone, Elona closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Her heart fluttered at the thought of the upcoming wedding. Tomorrow, in front of the entire world, Kazan would vow to take her as his partner for life. And from then on, she could stay by his side without hesitation—not as a master and a slave, but as his wife. They would be free to love each other as much as they wished.
And the world—at last—would give them its blessing.

That night, Elona cradled Ashad in her arms, nursing him as usual. Their son bore traces of both parents, his features a delicate blend of hers and Kazan’s. Gently stroking the soft black hair of her beloved child, Elona smiled. His skin was sun-kissed, much like Kazan’s, yet his eyes were a striking blue, mirroring hers perfectly.
‘He’s adorable.’
She wondered how his personality would develop once he learned to speak. Kazan was convinced their son would be as gentle and quiet as Elona, but in her heart, she felt certain Ashad would grow up to be a reflection of Kazan’s childhood. Either way, she knew he would be deeply cherished.
“My Lady, you’re still here? You should get some rest soon.”
Just then, the royal nanny entered Ashad’s room. Though Elona usually slept in her son’s chamber, tonight and tomorrow were an exception. As a bride, she needed to preserve her energy for the wedding.
“I’ll go now. I just lose track of time when I’m with him.”
Elona smiled warmly, adjusting her robe. The nanny, now holding Ashad, gently patted his back and nodded.
“Truly, I’ve never seen such a well-behaved baby. He sleeps soundly, eats well… and he’s as beautiful as an angel.”
Love and care filled the old woman’s voice, and Elona felt reassured as she stepped away.
Walking through the palace corridors, the cool night breeze rustled her hair. Ashad’s chamber was on the first floor, while her own quarters were located on the opposite end of the palace’s main wing. They had deliberately chosen separate rooms, ensuring that she wouldn’t be disturbed by her child’s cries at night.
Yet, Elona had always preferred to sleep beside him, treasuring every moment they spent together. Still, to be in perfect condition for the wedding, it was best for her to sleep alone tonight.
The wedding of Emperor Sindar would mark the beginning of an extravagant festival—a ceremony grand enough to be etched into history.
She had rehearsed every step of the wedding rites, but her thoughts wandered beyond the formalities.
‘Tomorrow… I’ll finally be able to sleep beside Kazan again.’
Though they were already parents, the thought of their wedding night made her heart race.
‘What will it feel like… our first night together as husband and wife?’
The realization struck her anew—
She was to become the Queen of Ashatra. Kazan’s wife.
Her pulse quickened with a mix of excitement and anticipation.
As she passed through the central palace, she happened to glance toward the garden— And there, beneath the statue of the goddess Lu, stood Kazan. He faced away from her, gazing up at the cascading water, lost in thought.
Elona hesitated for only a moment before turning toward him. The full moon shone brilliantly, casting its silver light upon him. Even in simple loungewear, Kazan’s strong, masculine form was evident. His presence was always commanding, his body sculpted by years of battle and hardship.
Elona found herself blushing, admiring his broad back—
The first man she had ever wanted to call her own. And tomorrow, at last, he would be truly hers.
Sensing her presence, Kazan turned around, his eyes softening as he smiled.
“Elona.”
His gentle voice sent a thrill through her heart. It had been so long since they had last met like this at night—it almost felt like a secret rendezvous.
“Kazan, can’t sleep?”
“I was waiting for you.”
Did he know she would come?
Elona smiled, tilting her head playfully.
“You should be resting—it’s the night before our wedding.”
“But tonight, you’re sleeping separately from Ashad.”
His words made her pause, blinking in surprise. A slow, knowing smirk tugged at his lips.
“…So that’s why you waited?”
“Mm. Tonight, we can have each other to ourselves.”
His voice dropped to a husky murmur, and his hand brushed against her cheek—a touch filled with quiet longing. He wanted her. The realization set her skin aflame.
“But… I was looking forward to tomorrow night.”
“Looking forward?”
His deep voice curled around the words, effortlessly dismissing the condition of ‘tomorrow’.
“What exactly were you looking forward to?”
“A-ah… You know what I mean.”
Embarrassed, Elona turned away, but he only drew her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Tell me.”
“I-I’ll tell you tomorrow!”
Before she knew it, she was nestled fully against him, her hands pressed against his chest. Kazan whispered against her ear.
“Then, tonight… I’ll do as I please.”
“…!”
In one swift motion, he lifted her into his arms. Effortless. Secure. Elona’s heartbeat pounded as he strode toward the palace without hesitation. It had been a long time since she had entrusted herself entirely to him like this.
“Kazan, but… the wedding—”
“Don’t worry. I’ll put you to sleep.”
His teasing voice sent a shiver down her spine. She could no longer protest. Because deep down, she wanted this too.
‘So warm…’
Even through the thin fabric, his body heat seeped into hers, wrapping her in comfort. His arms—strong and unwavering—held her as though he would never let go.
Ascending the stairs to the second floor, he carried her to his chambers. It felt like stepping into their bridal chamber before the ceremony had even begun.
As he reached the bed, he hesitated for a fraction of a second— Seeking one final confirmation.
His eyes, dark and intense, searched hers. Elona let out a soft, breathless laugh.
Kazan lowered himself onto the bed, still holding her in his lap, and murmured,
“Elona, you’re not truly against this… are you?”
“No… not at all. I might have been waiting for this too.”
The moment she whispered her answer, he could hold back no longer. His lips descended upon hers, fervent and unrelenting.
Pulling her flush against him, Kazan kissed her deeply, with all the passion he had held back for so long. She melted into him, clinging to his solid frame, surrendering herself to the intensity of his embrace.
